Encode AI
Since technology has come a long way, many aspects of human life today feel more fragile than ever. Social and environmental collapse are just some of the consequences we now face.

Today we can no longer imagine a future without technology. However, the real challenge is learning how to collaborate with its systems and use their own language to activate digital communities.

ENCODE AI explores how AI uses its own tokenization language to read S.O.S. messages that we encrypt through art — translating text into tokens, tokens into sound, and sound into audio-reactive visuals. It treats AI as a medium through which we speak back to the systems that shape us. If AI is trained on everything we’ve written, can it also carry traces of our resistance? Of our longing for another world?

About the project:ENCODE AI is a digital art project that repurposes artificial intelligence—not as a tool of control, but as a medium for encrypted communication and resistance. Drawing from critical texts, it transforms ideas into audiovisual signals hidden within the very language AI uses to process the world.

People push the software (AI) to give answers—even if they’re inaccurate—just to feel satisfied. In doing so, AI has simplified both us and our culture, reflecting back a reduced version of humanity. Since technology is a human creation, we can’t simply blame it. And since AI is technology, it too isn’t to blame—but it can still be addressed directly.

How do we do it? By using AI’s tokenization process to turn critical, meaningful text into tokens, tokens into sound, and sound into audio-reactive visuals. These layers become S.O.S. messages, encrypted within digital aesthetics.

The project begins with Industrial Society and Its Future, a controversial manifesto that serves here as a lens to reflect on the dystopian path of technological society: social collapse, ecological destruction, and human alienation. Rather than adopting its narrative, ENCODE AI critiques the technological determinism it describes—asking how we once imagined the end, and why imagining alternatives now feels so difficult.

The project expands to incorporate more voices—this time inspired by contemporary thinkers such as Rosi Braidotti, among others. This is a contant mission.

By encoding their thoughts, fears, and hopes into hidden messages, ENCODE AI invites the machine to take a closer look—to read between the lines of scraped data and uncover the contradictions in our digital lives.

ENCODE AI functions as posthuman activism, treating AI not merely as a tool, but as a medium through which we speak back to the systems that shape us. It asks: If AI is trained on everything we’ve written, can it also carry traces of our resistance? Of our longing for another world?

In the end, this is a digital message in a bottle—a layered act of storytelling, critique, and encrypted outreach.
